The kitchen measure or measuring cup is used to portion cooking and baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, milk, water and other cold or hot liquids. Two scales on the inside of the kitchen measure or measuring cup show once liter in centiliter increments or in 1/4 or 1/8 liter (depending on the size of the kitchen measure), which is the traditional Austrian unit of measure for liquids.

The measuring cup has a convenient side handle as well as a spout, called a beak, which makes it easy to pour out liquids. The rim of the kitchen measure is curved - in enamel language this is called a beaded rim.

The enamel material is made of iron fused with glass at high temperatures, that is, natural raw materials.

The enamel measuring cup can be used to heat precisely measured liquids such as milk (or water) for yeast dough or soup for risotto. However, it should be cooked with a low flame, as the diameter of the bottom is very small. When heating milk they add a little water before to prevent scorching
